Want to engineer real solutions that keep life-changing medical devices performing at their best? Paragon 28 (Zimmer Biomet) is hiring an Associate Product Sustaining Engineer!

Working directly alongside experienced senior engineers, you'll tackle design engineering projects, optimize legacy device systems, and help develop next-generation orthopedic technology. Step into a role that combines mentorship, technical problem-solving, and meaningful impact.

This position required onsite presence at our Englewood, Colorado location

How You'll Create Impact

  • Participate in sustaining engineering activities for legacy product systems for commercialized product with guidance from senior engineering staff including:
    • Review and evaluate product non-conformances for incoming legacy product
    • Review and evaluate product complaints
    • Assist with creation or update of post-launch documentation to support global registrations design control documentation for P28 design history files & technical files.
    • Assist in development of testing protocols and assist in the testing process for product evaluations
    • Assist in documentation remediation efforts including: DHF documentation, risk documentation, inspection plans, protocols, and reports.
    • Update designs and device specifications for legacy products
    • Assist with 3rd party suppliers, contractors, testing houses, etc.
    • Assist in inspection of current and newly developed medical devices
  • Observe surgery (live, cadaver, or video) on lower extremity pathology. Document all notes.
  • Other duties as directed by manager

Your Background

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or related engineering discipline with a minimum of 3 years of experience.

  • Prior experience in the sustaining or development of medical devices preferred.

  • Understanding of medical device industry regulatory requirements preferred.

  • Experience with CAD. SolidWorks preferred.

  • Proficiency in MS Office

  • Effective communication and presentation skills with ability to convey information and respond to questions from groups of peers

  • Ability to work in a team environment

Travel Expectations

Up to 10% travel required

Compensation Data

Salary Range: $47,000 - $88,000 USD annually, depending on skills and experience
