The Marketplace Planning teamis responsible fordriving financial and business performance across Target Plus, through data-driven planning, forecasting, and optimization of key metrics such as GMV, revenue, traffic, and conversion.
The Associate Planner – Planner Support, Discretionarysupports Marketplace Planners by providing data-driven planning support, forecasting inputs, business case development, and decision support across discretionary businesses including Home, Fun101, A&A, and Frequency.
This role works closely with MarketplacePlanning,,Partner Management, and other cross-functional teams to translate business questions into structured analysis,identifyopportunities, and support delivery of financial and operational goals.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial & Business Planning
Support development of business plans for key metrics including GMV, revenue, traffic, conversion, and partner productivity.
Assistin building andmaintainingweekly, monthly, and quarterly forecasts across discretionary planning areas.
Track performance against plans and highlight risks, opportunities, and key drivers of variance.
2. Planner Decision Support
Translate planner requests into clear data requirements, analysis plans, and repeatable templates.
Produce forecasting inputs, pre/post-performancereads, business cases, and scenario analysis.
Consolidatedata support across Home, Fun101, A&A to improve consistency and speed of decision-making.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Marketplace Planners, Partner Management, Finance, and Analytics teams to support business priorities.
Communicate insights and recommendations clearly to planners and cross-functional stakeholders.
4. Planning Process Excellence
Support planning cadences including weekly business reviews, forecasting cycles, performance tracking, and business planning routines.
Identifyopportunities to improve planning processes, reduce manual effort, and enhance efficiency through automation.
Ensure data accuracy, consistencyanddocumentationacross planning tools, reports, and planner-facing outputs.
About You
Bachelor’s degree.
3–5 years of experience in business planning, financial analysis, merchandise planning,oreCommerce.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiencyin Excel; Ability to work with large datasets and translate data into insights and recommendations.
Strong communicationand stakeholder management skills.
High attention to detail with a structured approach to problem solving.
Demonstrates ownership, curiosity, and a bias for action.
