Job Description

Delivers strategic HR expertise and coordinates various HR related initiatives occurring within the site departments. Fosters relationships with site staff. Assists in educating people leaders across the organization on HR processes, procedures, and relevant issues to enable them to be more effective leaders.

Job Responsibility

  • Provides HR support with limited direction from the People Leader HR Partner; links and executes site HR policies and procedures supporting the HR strategies.
  • Tracks and reviews site-specific data and provides status updates to key stakeholders.
  • Serves as a key change agent and champion of organization culture and values.
  • Assists leaders in identifying the need for team member communications and works with other HR functions to develop and deliver effective communications with relevant information to site departments; coordinates communication initiatives specific to a department with existing communication mechanisms and ensure that department is aware of existing HR initiatives.
  • Works with People Leader HR Partner and leaders on employee relation's issues including routine and complex issues; assists departments to resolve employee issues and develop solutions.
  • May receive detailed instructions on work, approach, and priorities; work is often guided by precedent and/or documented procedures, regulations, professional standards with some interpretation.
  • Researches relevant issues in order to provide suggestions and solutions; involves HR Employee Relations/Labor Relations personnel in decision-making strategies.
  • Supports the development of and implementation of all elements of the Performance Management process at the site; gathers data to ensure site compliance with Performance Management methodology and use of tools and prepares reports.
  • Advises department heads in the development of their team members to close skill gaps in support of career development; facilitates the succession planning processes within site departments with a focus on achieving diversity and creating developmental plans for a high performing, productive staff.
  • Operates under general guidance and work assignments are varied and require interpretation and independent decisions on course of action.
  • Performs related duties as required.

Job Qualification

  • Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience, required.
