JOB PURPOSE
Fanatics Collectibles is hiring an Associate, People Intelligence to help grow an AI-native people intelligence function. This hands-on, high-impact role sits at the intersection of workforce analytics, data, AI, systems, and process automation, turning people data into decisions and building practical tools and workflows that improve how HR and the business operate.
The ideal candidate pairs strong analytical ability with an AI-native, builder-oriented working style. You should have experience writing SQL; connecting, structuring, and validating data from multiple sources; translating data into a clear story; and using AI to accelerate analytical, technical, and operational work. You will help build internal applications, interactive Web App-based documents and tools, dashboards, automations, and repeatable workflows that make people data and People processes easier to use.
You will also design and operate AI-agent workflows, connect AI and automation safely to sensitive people data and enterprise systems, strengthen data, application, and process governance, and partner with Employee Lifecycle and other People teams to simplify, standardize, and automate programs. Success requires the ability to solve ambiguous problems, carry improvements from discovery through implementation, and maintain a team-first mindset. This is a small team with meaningful scope, where you will own work from day one and help shape how the function operates.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Build and maintain analyses, dashboards, reports, and AI-powered intelligence experiences that answer meaningful workforce questions—including retention, hiring-pipeline health, skills gaps, organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and employee experience—and give HR, Recruiting, Finance, and business leaders self-service access to reliable, actionable insights.
- Write SQL to connect, structure, and validate people data across source systems, Snowflake, and downstream tools; support governed data models and data lake and data warehouse environments; and resolve data-quality issues at the root cause.
- Design, build, test, document, and maintain internal applications, interactive Web App-based documents and tools, AI-agent and automation workflows, prototypes, and self-service experiences that make people data and processes intuitive, secure, repeatable, and auditable.
- Partner with Employee Lifecycle and other People teams to map and improve end-to-end programs, reducing manual effort, duplicate entry, unnecessary handoffs, control gaps, and employee or manager friction through automation, standardization, and streamlined design.
- Create and maintain current- and future-state process and data maps, source-to-target mappings, system and data-flow diagrams, data dictionaries, ownership documentation, standard operating procedures, and related technical documentation.
- Support data, process, and application governance across sensitive people data, AI-enabled solutions, Oracle HCM, workforce-planning platforms, reporting environments, and automation tools—including access, responsible data handling, lineage, quality controls, ownership, requirements, testing, change control, release documentation, issue management, and auditability.
- Partner with HR, Employee Lifecycle, Finance, business, and technical stakeholders to translate needs into prioritized improvement opportunities and maintain a transparent roadmap across analytics, systems, applications, automation, and process improvement.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 1–3+ years of experience in data, analytics, business systems, HR systems, process improvement, automation, or a related technical or analytical role.
- Proficiency in SQL, with foundational knowledge of data modeling, data structures, and how information moves across systems.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools, agents, or AI-assisted workflows—such as Claude, ChatGPT, or similar platforms—to complete analytical, technical, or operational work.
- Experience building or prototyping internal tools, automations, Web App-based experiences, or deliverables using code, low-code/no-code platforms, or AI-assisted development.
- Experience mapping and documenting processes, data flows, system interactions, requirements, controls, and ownership, with a foundational understanding of data privacy, security, role-based access, quality, and governance.
- Demonstrated ability to identify issues in data, systems, or workflows; carry improvements from problem definition through testing and implementation; and translate stakeholder needs into workable solutions across technical and non-technical teams.
- Comfort operating in a fluid, fast-moving environment where processes, tools, and standards are still being built, with strong attention to detail and a habit of validating outputs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Information Systems, Organizational Behavior, Computer Science, or another relevant quantitative, technical, or social science field.
KEY TRAITS WE VALUE
- AI-native — uses AI tools to move faster and do more, understands their limitations, and has informed opinions about where AI does and does not add value.
- Product-minded builder — translates ambiguous business problems into simple, usable tools and workflows, improves them based on feedback, and follows through beyond launch.
- Systems and governance mindset — understands how data, processes, systems, controls, and decisions connect and moves quickly without sacrificing security, quality, documentation, appropriate access, or process discipline.
- Technically self-sufficient — can take work from data pull or problem definition through testing, documentation, and clean output, with appropriate support and escalation.
- Curious about people, not just data — wants to understand what the numbers, systems, and process outcomes mean for employees, managers, and the organization.
