Job Description

The Associate Partner will work in close collaboration with colleagues in Singapore, across Southeast Asia, in Washington, D.C., and globally, bringing deep expertise across industry, government, geopolitical, investment, and business trends in the Southeast Asia region. This role involves co-leading and supporting client engagements that address complex and sensitive issues in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive grasp of a broad range of geopolitical, regulatory, and trade issues in Southeast Asia, as well as their intersections with key global markets including the United States, Japan, Korea, Australia, India, the Middle East, China, and the European Union. The Associate Partner will interact directly with clients, leading in the delivery of consistently valuable client service, and the development of new business through research products and strategic counsel, in combination with expanding on existing client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Manages client engagement team members to produce agreed upon products. Sets clear strategy and expectations for deliverables to team members.
  • Participate significantly in client management, impact, and retention. Responsible for managing some overall client relationships, serving as the primary contact for client teams, as assigned, helping to develop and implement strategy on clients, and ensures priorities are
  • Develops new business opportunities through networking, attending industry events and panels, and working with the firm’s business development team.
  • Broadens networks and expertise and raises the firm’s profile through participation with associations, think tanks, and policy advocacy platforms. Identifies and pursues opportunities for thought leadership in alignment with the team’s sector-specific client
  • Supports the growth of DGA and DGA’s varied service offerings in Singapore and across the region by building on the established global business and reputation of DGA-Albright Stonebridge Group.
  • Supports team members' professional development and works to identify additional development
  • Works with business unit and practice leads to help generate new client prospects and develop opportunities for growing existing client relationships.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of eight years of relevant professional
  • Bachelor’s degree in political science, international relations, public policy, public policy, communications, business administration, or, or a related field, or equivalent experience. A graduate degree in related field preferred
  • Demonstrated excellence in writing, editing, research, and analytical thinking, with a strong ability to critically assess research scope and content
  • Proficient in one or more of the following languages preferred: Chinese, Japanese, Indonesian, Malay, Vietnamese, or Tagalog.
  • Highly self-motivated and capable of managing both long-term and short-term projects independently, with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, collaborating effectively across multiple time zones and geographies.
