Delivery Associates (DA) works with leaders in the public sector to solve problems, build consensus, and implement policy programs that impact millions of people around the world. We leverage our flagship delivery tools and methodology to help our partners deliver results. We're successful in part because we have mastered our approach over many years and in part because we are empathetic, resourceful, level-headed, and dedicated to supporting our clients to achieve impact for the people they serve. This role is an opportunity to learn and implement our methodology as a member of our MESA regional team.

As an Associate, you’ll work with senior government officials to support better delivery of public services for the good of their citizens and residents. We are looking for someone to support our teams in Pakistan, bringing a sharp and data-informed analytical problem-solving skill set to support our clients. This may include working with clients to use data to formulate and test recommendations to improve senior level decision making, facilitating problem solving and collaboration through action-oriented routines, design and delivery of stakeholder projects, and/or engagement with frontline services providers and end users to inform policy and program implementation.

Key Responsibilities.

  • Advise government agencies and ministries to develop delivery plans with clear strategies, targets, trajectories and action plans
  • Monitor the implementation of delivery plans, establishing frequent routines and accountability mechanisms
  • Support problem-solving, learning, and continuous improvement within your projects
  • Engage in data collection and analytical processes, develop visualizations and storylines, and support decision-making by senior leaders
  • Build delivery capacity of national and subnational government leaders
  • Participate in meetings and trainings with government officials to discuss planning and implementation tools and methods

  • Solve problems Break down problems and identify root causes before developing hypotheses and solutions.
  • Stay focused: Navigate complexity, especially in policy and program implementation, consistently steering large coalitions back to a single-minded focus on priority outcomes.

Required Skills/Experience:

Many of our people have backgrounds in management consulting, public sector implementation, government, think tanks/ policy research, and international development.

  • Bachelor’s degree or above
  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience working within top consulting firms, governments, and/or international organizations.
  • Must be based in and have right to work in Pakistan.
  • Must have business-level proficiency in English and Urdu (spoken and written).
  • Prior experience in a client-facing role in public sector contexts.
  • Proficiency in project implementation or direct experience in delivering results.
