Job Description

This role is responsible for supporting and monitoring pharmaceutical packaging operations while developing foundational competencies in packaging processes, equipment handling, and cGMP compliance. The role assists in operating and cleaning packaging equipment including vial lines, bag packing machines, bottle filling and capping systems, cartoning machines, labeling systems, and track & trace systems under supervision. The incumbent supports packaging activities, material handling, batch documentation, and line readiness in accordance with approved procedures and current SOPs. It ensures packaging areas, equipment, tooling, and change parts are maintained in an orderly, sanitized, and compliant condition. The role actively participates in training programs related to safety, cGMP, SOPs, and packaging operations while supporting quality and productivity objectives.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist in operation and monitoring of packaging equipment including vial & bag lines, packing, bottle filling, capping, cartoning, labeling, and track & trace systems
  • Perform cleaning of packaging equipment as per current approved SOPs and established procedures
  • Support packaging activities under guidance of officers/executives/supervisors ensuring adherence to production schedules
  • Maintain packaging area, equipment, and tools in an orderly, sanitized, and cGMP-compliant condition
  • Maintain tooling, format parts, and change parts for packaging equipment in ready-to-use condition
  • Handle packaging materials and finished goods as per approved material handling procedures
  • Assist in maintaining batch records, logbooks, and packaging documentation accurately as per GDP requirements
  • Identify and report deviations, breakdowns, non-conforming materials, or operational abnormalities to supervisors
  • Follow all safety rules, PPE requirements, and workplace discipline standards during operations
  • Attend scheduled trainings on cGMP, SOPs, safety, equipment operation, and cleaning as assigned by supervisors
