Assist the Team Leader and Project Coordinators in completing mid to high-level assignments related to routine refurbishment, modification, and rework of Solar centrifugal gas compressors.

What you will do:

  • Responsible for all activities involved in supporting functions for the compressor assembly/disassembly process including test support to a predetermined schedule.
  • Must have a positive attitude and ability to work closely and effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Must be dependable with the willingness to work overtime and weekends.
  • Specific assignments will require incumbent to work in a team environment and provide back-up support to team members and other teams.
  • Perform compressor preparation work
  • Provide parts logistics between warehouse, test and paint locations within the facility
  • Responsible for following Solar Quality Assurance Standards (QAS) Engineering Specifications (ES) and compressor planning during assembly process.
  • Identify root cause of issues during production and document issues
  • Support of compressor shipment and rigging
  • Receiving functions related to incoming compressor shipments
  • Follow all safety and environment practices and report any unsafe conditions, broken and/or malfunctioning equipment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management

What you will have:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • 2-5+ years of experience working in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • 1-3+ years of experience using precision measuring equipment.

What will set you apart:

  • Vocational or trade school certification/degree in an aeronautical, mechanical, machine work or electrical discipline.
  • Solar Turbines gas compressor experience.

Summary Pay Range:

$45,809.00 - $68,713.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
