We have an exciting Associate or Vice President position available to act alongside relationship managers in providing creative financial services, solutions and advisory to clients active in the Transport & Logistics sector (“T&L”). From Amsterdam, London, Frankfurt, New York, Singapore and Brussels the T&L team covers the sub-sectors: Shipping, Aviation, Automotive, Land Transport, Containers and Logistics. The global T&L team is part of the Sector Coverage organization of the ING Wholesale Bank.

T&L Amsterdam is an energetic and enthusiastic team covering numerous nationalities. Team members are always ready to help one another. Further it is interesting to note that many in the team started as trainee as well the team has a continuous turnover of internees and trainees doing rotations. Last but not least, all in the Amsterdam team work closely together with our T&L colleagues, other sector and product teams across ING offices worldwide.

The Role

• As Associate or Vice President you will be responsible for:
• Contributing to relationship management and business origination together with T&L Sector team colleagues and local Network colleagues to expand client relationships
• Actively engaging and collaborating with other ING disciplines including Transaction Services, CS&A, Debt Capital Markets, Financial Markets, Sustainable Finance, Loan Distributions and Corporate Finance
• Structuring and negotiating (structured) lending transactions and cooperating with the Lending colleagues on deal execution and portfolio management
• Supporting Subsector Expertise knowledge building and sharing across ING
• Developing junior colleagues as well as knowledge sharing within T&L globally and the wider ING Network
• Thinking beyond the existing business and boundaries, and proactively contributing to growing the T&L business

Qualification Requirements

• At least 3-8 years of work experience in a finance transaction driven commercial environment, preferable within the ING Sector or Lending organisation
• You are an excellent team player in an multi-cultural environment
• High level of self-motivation and commercial drive
• You have a strong internal network andor ability to build such network that allows you to have the right colleagues at the right time available for our clients
• You’re a strong communicator with high proficiency in English (verbal & written) and preferable also Dutch
• University Masters degree
• You don’t mind travelling
