
Investment Banking Associate / Vice President – Healthcare M&A (Services)
New York, NY (In-Office, 5 days per week)
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced M&A professional to join our Healthcare Investment Banking team in New York City. This role will focus primarily on executing mergers and acquisitions within the Healthcare Services sector.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in M&A execution. Prior experience in the healthcare sector is a distinct advantage but is not a prerequisite; we are fully prepared to train the right individual on industry specifics, provided they possess the core deal-making toolkit.
Please Note: This is a fully in-office position (5 days per week) located in our Manhattan office. Candidates must be based in or willing to relocate to the NYC metro area.
Key Responsibilities
Deal Execution: Lead the day-to-day execution of buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions, including managing due diligence, structuring transactions, and drafting definitive agreements.
Financial Modeling: Oversee and construct complex financial models, including discounted cash flow (DCF), leveraged buyout (LBO), merger consequences, and trading/transaction comparables.
Content Creation: Lead the preparation of high-quality pitch books, confidential information memorandums (CIMs), management presentations, and board materials.
Client Management: Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, private equity sponsors, and legal/accounting advisors throughout the deal lifecycle.
Team Leadership: Mentor, train, and manage analysts, ensuring quality control and fostering professional development within the team.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of four (4) years of direct M&A experience within an investment bank, boutique advisory firm, or corporate development role.
Location: Ability to work on-site in the NYC office five days a week (no remote/hybrid flexibility).
Technical Skills: Exceptional financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills, with a flawless command of Excel and PowerPoint.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA or CFA is a plus).
Licensing: Series 79 and 63 certifications (or equivalent) are preferred, or required to be obtained shortly after hiring.
Preferred Qualifications
Sector Knowledge: Experience or a demonstrated interest in the Healthcare Services landscape (e.g., physician practice management, behavioral health, pharma services, home health, dental service organizations) is a strong plus.
