Job Description

We are seeking an Associate Operations Manager to support and drive the Embedded Consulting Services business with a focus area on excellence in operations and project management. The individual will ensure the delivery of commercial, administrative and world class operational support and competence. This is a regional role with a focus on South East Asia.

Responsibilities

Operational Management

  • Own the day-to-day operational management of a major embedded security operations programme in Singapore, ensuring delivery against client requirements, contractual obligations and Control Risks standards.
  • Support the delivery of embedded consulting services across Southeast Asia and the wider Asia Pacific region.
  • Act as a key operational point of contact for consultants and client stakeholders, escalating strategic, commercial and personnel matters where appropriate.
  • Manage project administration and business operations activities associated with client engagements, ensuring consistency, accuracy and compliance with internal processes.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve operational processes, delivery effectiveness and service quality across engagements.
  • Work closely with the Business Operations team to ensure project administration is maintained to the highest standard.

People and Resource Management

  • Support resource planning activities including the maintenance of consultant databases, workforce planning tools and deployment tracking.
  • Assist with the selection, recruitment, onboarding, training, contracting and deployment of consultants across the region.
  • Work closely with HR colleagues to support effective consultant onboarding and employee experience, and
  • Ensure consultants are effectively supported, engaged and connected to Control Risks throughout the lifecycle of their engagement.
  • Support the performance management and professional development of consultants, helping to build operational capability and future leadership talent within the business.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of resource management tools, processes and information systems to improve visibility and accessibility of consultant data.

Client and Commercial Management

  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with client stakeholders to support successful programme delivery and long-term partnerships.
  • Identify client needs and opportunities for additional support, collaborating with colleagues to deliver high-quality solutions and outcomes.
  • Support the commercial management of embedded consultancy engagements, including contract administration, renewals, extensions and revenue management activities.
  • Assist in the preparation of high-quality proposals, scopes of work and other commercial documentation.
  • Support business development activities by contributing operational insights, resource planning and solution design for new opportunities.

Regional Team Support

  • Support the ECS leadership in the management and growth of the Southeast Asia Embedded Consulting Services portfolio.
  • Work collaboratively with regional and global colleagues to ensure effective coordination, communication and delivery across engagements.
  • Proactively build and maintain strong relationships with decision makers and senior managers across the business, seeking opportunities for collaboration and operational improvement.
  • Develop the capability to independently manage client engagements and operational portfolios over time, contributing to the continued growth of the Embedded Consulting Services business

Requirements

Knowledge and Experience

Essential:

  • Experience in an operations, project management, consulting, security, intelligence, government, military or similarly fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
  • Experience building and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving capability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgement and deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to improving processes and performance.
  • Interest in security, geopolitical and business issues across Asia Pacific.

Desirable:

  • Experience supporting large-scale operations, service delivery teams or security operations centres.
  • Exposure to recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning or people management activities.
  • Experience preparing proposals, budgets or commercial documentation.
  • Experience working in a regional or multinational environment.

Qualifications and specialist skills

Essential:

  • Project / commercial management skills
  • Education to degree level / or relevant commercial experience
  • Developed IT skills (Microsoft Office)

Preferred:

  • Security / Risk consulting qualification
  • SEA language skills
  • HR / people focussed qualifications or experience beneficial
