The Nominee Services Team is a core function within HKSCC in ensuring the accurate, timely, and orderly processing of corporate actions and shareholder events across the Hong Kong and China Connect markets. The team supports the full corporate action lifecycle for a wide range of corporate action events, including cash and stock dividends, rights issues and open offers, bonus issues, scrip elections, conversions, redemptions, re-organisations, takeovers, mergers, and shareholder voting events.

Job Duties:

Job Responsibilities

  • Execute daily nominee services operations in compliance with clearing house rules, procedures, and internal policies

  • Review and validate work performed by junior staff, including issuer announcement reviews and end‑to‑end processing of corporate actions across equities, debt securities, and derivatives

  • Oversee the full lifecycle of corporate events, including coordination with relevant internal and external stakeholders

  • Recommend and implement operational process enhancements to improve efficiency, control, and service quality

  • Support automation and process reengineering initiatives to reduce manual processing and operational risk

  • Identify exceptions and contingency situations in a timely manner and escalate issues to management as appropriate

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline

  • at least 3–5 years of relevant experience in reputable financial institutions

  • Solid knowledge of asset servicing and nominee/custodial operations across equities, debt securities, and derivatives in Hong Kong and global markets, including related corporate actions and lifecycle events; exposure to Mainland China markets is an advantage.

  • Familiarity with International Central Securities Depositories (ICSDs) such as Euroclear and Clearstream is highly desirable

  • Strong team player with the ability to perform effectively in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment

  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; proficiency in Putonghua is an advantage

  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Access, and Chinese word processing

  • Knowledge of Macros and VBA is an advantage
