Hours: 0.8 EFT Rotating Roster

Location: Birthing Services Unit , Mercy Hospital for Women Heidelberg

About the opportunity

  • Partner with the Unit Manger to lead a talented team of midwives, committed to delivering holistic, patient centred care

  • Strengthen and advance your Leadership and Management Skills

What you’ll bring

You’re resilient, compassionate and have a whole lot of heart. Most importantly, you are committed to delivering exceptional patient-centred care.

To thrive in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience as an Associate Midwifery Unit Manager (preferably in a tertiary centre)

  • Level 3 RANZCOG practitioner status

  • Competence to Perform IV Cannulation, Balloon Catheter Insertion for Induction of Labour, Waterbirth and Perineal Suturing (or working towards)

  • Knowledge of managing high risk, complicated pregnancies and birth, but also possess the skills and desire to facilitate physiological birth where possible

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

  • A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.

  • Proof of current vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
