Job Description

Drive meaningful media engagement and strengthen Novo Nordisk's visibility in Taiwan's obesity and GLP-1 treatment landscape.

As Media Relations Manager, you'll be at the forefront of shaping how Novo Nordisk's obesity portfolio and corporate reputation are represented in Taiwan's media landscape. You'll build lasting relationships with key journalists and media outlets while developing an "always-on" engagement approach that ensures our story reaches the audiences that matter most.

Responsibilities

  • Building and maintaining strategic relationships with priority media outlets and journalists to drive high-quality, compliant coverage of obesity and our GLP-1 portfolio
  • Developing and executing an "always-on" media engagement model that ensures sustained corporate visibility beyond reactive responses
  • Creating media-ready content aligned with our strategic priorities, content calendar, and compliance requirements
  • Proactively identifying storytelling opportunities that strengthen external visibility and support business objectives
  • Driving seamless cross-functional collaboration with MAPA, Medical Affairs, Marketing, and Corporate Affairs to deliver aligned campaigns and targeted external engagement
  • Leveraging global and regional best practices, insights, and assets to enhance local execution while maintaining compliance
  • Monitoring the evolving media landscape to inform communication planning and ensure focus on high-impact channels

Skills & Qualifications

We're looking for an experienced communications professional who thrives on building relationships and creating impact through strategic media engagement. You'll bring with you:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in communications, public relations, media relations, or a related field, with proven ability to build and maintain journalist relationships
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing communication strategies aligned with business objectives, particularly in stakeholder engagement
  • Strong editorial skills and ability to create compelling, media-ready content that adheres to branding guidelines and compliance requirements
  • Experience working in cross-functional environments, collaborating with teams such as medical affairs, marketing, and public affairs
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to establish trust-based partnerships with media stakeholders
  • Strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution capabilities – you can see the big picture while managing day-to-day media engagement
  • Strong analytical skills to monitor media landscapes and translate insights into actionable communication plans
  • Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages
  • Prior experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or regulated industries is highly advantageous
