The Associate Material Planner supports Technical Operations by performing material planning and forecasting activities for assigned commodities to ensure parts availability and operational reliability.They’llcreate andmaintainstocking plans for designated Air Transportation Association chapters while forecastingaircraftrepair parts across maintenance bases and MRO locations.They’llsupport new partsetup, execute order plans, and conduct material reviews to meet service level expectations and support fleet performance. The Associate Material Planner brings strong analytical and organizational skills to drive efficient inventory management, support crossTeam collaboration, and contribute to reliable maintenance operations.

Responsibilities
  • Determine and implement appropriate stock levels to achieve target service levels for assigned commodities and maintenance locations
  • Track demand of parts/materials and create stocking plan modifications as needed to mitigate disruptions to maintenance plans and operations
  • Provide in-person and remote support to all Internal Customers and Team stakeholders
  • Coordinate with Purchasing and other SCM Teams to carry out defined order plans
  • Identify cost saving, cost avoidance, and cost deferral opportunities for assigned commodities
  • Support business cases and annual operating plans by identifying part costs and quantity requirements
  • Participate in parts-related projects specific to assigned commodities and conduct material reviews to support fleet service levels
  • Identify shortcomings in material support plans, and enact fundamental solutions or escalate more complex problems to senior Planners to ensure resolution
  • May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of fundamental supply chain principles involved in supply and demand relationships and business practices used in a service environment
  • Skilled in basic use of office productivity software such as MS Office, particularly spreadsheet tools such as MS Excel
  • Skilled in effective time management skills and acting with a sense of urgency, while managing daily responsibilities with some direction and guidance
  • Skilled in use of active listening and producing complete and accurate verbal and written communications, including reports
  • Skilled in utilizing available resources and applying new information for both current and future problem-solving
  • Skilled in use of basic methods of analysis do obtain, sort, categorize, and provide required information
  • Ability to partner with diverse Teams to accomplish project goals and convey information across a variety of communication channels
  • Ability to assess multiple facets to a problem before taking action, recommend potential solutions, and learn from experience to make needed adjustments
  • Ability to analyze unfamiliar data and reach preliminary conclusions as to its meaning, as well as synthesize information and take proactive action with some guidance
  • Ability to demonstrate the highest level of ethics in all interactions with internal and external stakeholders
Education
  • Required: High School Diploma or GED
Experience
  • Entry-level experience; developing skills and knowledge in:
    • Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Logistics or related experience
  • Preferred: Experience inSPMandMaintenix
Licensing/Certification

Physical Abilities
  • Ability to perform work duties from limited space work station/desk/office area for extended periods of time
  • Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
  • Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job
Other Qualifications
  • Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
  • Must meet confidentiality expectations as to confidential, proprietary, and sensitive Company information
  • Ability to work flexible hours to successfully meet deadlines; extended work hours, including occasional weekend coverage may be required
  • Possible travel domestically/internationally 10-15%

Pay & Benefits

  • Competitive market salary from $63,700 per year to $70,800 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company.
