Job Purpose: The Master Data Management - Associate will be responsible for all MDM-related activities, such as the creation, maintenance, and updating of Vendor, Customer, and Material master data. He/She will ensure that performance meets or exceeds agreed KPIs and SLAs defined between Operating Companies and the BSC, while operating within a strong internal control framework.
Accountabilities:
Transactional Activities:
Manage activities related to Vendor, Customer, and Material master data in the system.
Possess complete knowledge of updating Vendor, Customer, and Material master records in the ERP system.
Define and implement Master Data Management (MDM) solutions.
Perform data profiling and data quality assessments of source systems to draft data quality rules.
Authorize the creation and maintenance of master data.
Create and maintain Master Data in SAP according to approved requests.
Efficiently locate information in the customer master and troubleshoot customer master-related transaction errors.
Restrict and detect unauthorized access to data.
Ensure defined periodic reporting.
Ensure compliance with the QA framework.
Participate in continuous improvement projects within Shared Services.
Service Excellence:
Ensure the overall delivery of services to OpCos meets or exceeds agreed KPIs and SLAs defined between Operating Companies and the BSC, within a strong internal control framework.
Partner with the Service Management team to:
Provide input for service reporting.
Facilitate service transitions when required.
Analyze issues highlighted by the Business Account Manager and resolve them in a timely manner.
Ensure internal customer and supplier issues are handled in accordance with the escalation process, pushing back when proper protocol is not followed.
Skills & Desired Experience:
1 to 2 years of experience managing Vendor/Customer/Material master data maintenance activities in a client-service-oriented function.
Master Data Management certification is preferred.
Good understanding of business systems.
Ability to analyze and utilize information from a wide variety of sources.
Logical, process-based approach to problem resolution.
Credibility, trust, and professionalism.
Educational Qualification:
Bachelor’s Degree / Postgraduate in any field.
Knowledge of SAP is preferred.
