The role will also contribute to wider sector and service priorities, support the internal launch and activation of the Key Account Programme, and line manage one direct report.

This senior, commercially focused role will bring together sector and service business plans, market intelligence and client priorities to develop focused marketing plans and integrated campaigns that support growth, lead generation and work-winning.

You will act as a trusted Marketing Solutions partner to Sector and Service Leads and senior stakeholders, helping to shape priorities and identify opportunities across sectors, services and clients. You will lead integrated campaigns across content, PR, digital, events and client engagement, ensuring activity strengthens RLB’s profile and contributes to measurable commercial outcomes.

Working closely with the wider Sales & Marketing team, including Brand & Communications, Business Development, Bids, Digital and regional teams, as well as technical specialists across the business, you will coordinate activity and maintain high standards across campaigns and marketing materials. You will also work with the Head of Sales & Marketing and Business Development Partner to support the launch and embedding of the Key Account Programme.

You will ensure activity is effectively planned, managed and reported, using tools such as Monday.com to provide clear visibility of priorities, responsibilities, progress, budgets and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Critical and Future Sectors pillar, owning the marketing approach for sectors such as Advanced Technology and Defence & Security and providing proportionate support for Logistics & Manufacturing
  • Turn sector and service business plans, client priorities, pipeline information and market insight into prioritised annual marketing plans focused on growth, lead generation and work-winning
  • Advise Sector and Service Leads and senior stakeholders on audiences, propositions, campaigns, investment and measures of success, identifying opportunities to connect sectors, services, accounts and regions
  • Lead integrated campaigns across content, PR, digital, events, awards and client engagement, ensuring messaging is audience-led, commercially relevant and aligned with the RLB brand
  • Lead the internal launch and activation of the Key Account Programme with the Head of Sales & Marketing, translating account insight into propositions, campaigns and account-based marketing activity
  • Work with Business Development, Bids, Strategic Pursuits and technical teams to identify prospects, segment clients, pre-position RLB, qualify marketing-generated leads and support conversion
  • Direct market, audience, key buyer and competitor research and use campaign and CRM insight to improve targeting, optimise activity and inform investment decisions
  • Own performance reporting across the portfolio, covering engagement, lead generation, pipeline contribution, budget and return on investment, with clear recommendations for improvement
  • Maintain a clear and consistent approach to planning and delivery, ensuring ownership, deadlines, dependencies, budgets, risks and progress are effectively managed
  • Use digital and AI tools, such as Microsoft Copilot, alongside Monday.com, SharePoint and Microsoft Dynamics to improve the efficiency, quality and effectiveness of marketing planning, delivery and reporting
  • Manage allocated budgets, suppliers and resources to deliver cost-effective activity and maintain a clear focus on the strongest commercial opportunities
  • Line manage one direct report, setting objectives and priorities, delegating delivery, managing workload and wellbeing, and supporting development and consistently high standards

Candidate Profile

Success in this position will require an experienced, commercially minded marketer who can lead a strategically important portfolio, influence senior stakeholders and turn business and client priorities into focused, measurable marketing activity. The successful candidate will combine strategic thinking, people leadership and strong delivery discipline.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Evidence of translating business, sector or key account strategies into prioritised marketing plans, integrated campaigns and measurable lead-generation outcomes
  • Strong commercial judgement and the ability to interpret markets, client needs, pipeline priorities and work-winning opportunities
  • Excellent senior stakeholder management, facilitation and influencing skills, with the confidence to advise, constructively challenge and secure agreement on priorities
  • Strong programme and project management capability, including management of multiple workstreams, budgets, suppliers, dependencies, risks and reporting
  • Experience of line management, including setting objectives, prioritising workload, providing constructive feedback and supporting development and wellbeing
  • Experience of using campaign, client and market data to produce clear insight, reporting and recommendations for optimisation
  • Experience of work management, CRM and campaign measurement platforms; knowledge of Monday.com and Microsoft Dynamics would be advantageous
