Job Description

At Manulife, our Affinity Marketing Team is committed to driving growth through strategic customer acquisition and retention initiatives. We are seeking a talented Associate Marketing Manager to lead our efforts in acquiring new leads and retaining existing clients and expanding their engagement with our products and services.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead acquisition, retention, and customer growth strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Lead integrated campaigns across email, digital, print, direct mail, and events, managing timelines, budgets, approvals, and results.
  • Own end-to-end acquisition and retention email campaigns, from segmentation and journey design through deployment, testing, reporting, and optimization.
  • Turn campaign, customer, and market data into recommendations that improve performance and ROI.
  • Lead cross-functional partners to align priorities, manage risks, and deliver cohesive customer experiences.
  • Oversee compliant content and use CRM, automation, and analytics tools to manage customer journeys and performance.
  • Build a test-and-learn roadmap to improve audiences, offers, creative, channels, and journeys.
  • Manage agencies and vendors against clear briefs, timelines, quality standards, and performance expectations.
  • Manage budgets and forecasts, reallocating investment based on performance and growth opportunities.
  • Present results, risks, and recommendations to senior management.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA or equivalent is a plus.
  • 5+ years of progressive marketing experience, including strategic ownership of customer lifecycle programs.
  • Demonstrated experience leading integrated campaigns from strategy and briefing through execution, measurement, optimization, and post-campaign reporting.
  • Hands-on experience running full end-to-end email marketing campaigns for acquisition and retention, including segmentation, journey development, campaign build, quality assurance, deployment, A/B testing, deliverability considerations, reporting, and optimization.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives, influence senior stakeholders, and guide the work of internal and external partners without direct authority.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with CRM, email marketing, marketing automation, analytics, and campaign management platforms, with the ability to use performance data to optimize customer journeys and business outcomes.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience with print and direct mail marketing strategies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset. If the successful candidate is in Québec, proficiency in both languages will be required to support clients from various provinces outside of Quebec.​

Salary range is expected to be between

$73,725.00 CAD - $122,875.00 CAD

Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
