Boeing Poland is currently hiring an Associate Manufacturing Engineer to join our Technical Development Team to support VR (Virtual Reality) laboratory in Rzeszow, Poland.
The successful candidate will act as the VR Lab Specialist and will be responsible for planning, implementing, and supporting virtual reality (VR) and additive manufacturing solutions that enable manufacturing engineering and production teams. This role combines hands-on systems administration of VR rigs and 3D printers with production engineering knowledge to translate manufacturing use cases into effective VR experiences, maintain hardware and software environments, and deliver user training and knowledge transfer. The ideal candidate understands production engineering constraints, manufacturing processes, and has practical experience integrating VR into manufacturing workflows. We are seeking excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities:
Execute VR-dedicated Manufacturing Engineering statements of work (SOWs), delivering solutions that meet project scope, schedule, and quality expectations
Provide ongoing technical and operational support to VR integrators and cross-functional teams during development, testing, and deployment phases
Prepare, configure, and validate VR hardware, software, peripherals, and environments for specific use cases
Maintain and troubleshoot VR hardware (headsets, trackers, controllers, workstations), VR software, and 3D printing equipment
Deliver hands-on training, documentation, and knowledge transfer to engineers, integrators, and personnel to enable sustained in-house capability
Act as a point of contact for gathering, documenting, and refining VR use-case requirements across production teams; translate these requirements into technical specifications and test plans
Support integration of VR outputs with manufacturing systems and workflows (CAD/PLM imports, layout tools, data capture, and reporting)
Maintain inventory, firmware/software versions, licensing, and security/compliance practices for VR and additive systems
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and pilot projects that expand VR adoption in production engineering
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
1+ years of experience in production/manufacturing engineering or a related role
Hands-on experience with VR hardware and software
Familiarity with CAD tools (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks, NX)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
2+ years of experience in production/manufacturing engineering or a related role
Practical experience with 3D printing technologies and materials selection, machine calibration, and post-processing
Prior experience as a VR integrator, simulation engineer, or in a VR/AR lab environment supporting multiple projects concurrently
Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, networking, and system integration issues
Proven ability to deliver training
