Job Purpose: Responsible for execution of strategic sales plans, building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients and international customers, and identifying new business opportunities regionally and globally. This role involves managing the sales process for anode, cathode, and chemicals, while ensuring client satisfaction and achieving sales targets. The Key Accounts Manager also collaborates with cross-functional teams, utilizes CRM systems for performance tracking, and provides insightful market analysis to inform strategic decisions.

Key Account Manager - Metals - Copper Sales

Sales Planning and Execution:

Spearhead the development and execution of strategic sales plans including for international market to achieve revenue targets and expand the customer base.

Monitor sales pipelines and coordinate with the marketing team to drive client acquisition and retention strategies.

Perform regular reviews of client needs and influence adjustments in product offerings to better align with market demand.

Manage the anode, cathode, and chemical sales process, including pricing, forecasting, and inventory management.

Contract Management:

Supervise the negotiation and implementation of key contracts with major and international clients, ensuring all terms are aligned with business objectives.

Oversee contract renewals and coordinate necessary amendments based on changing market conditions.

Support the closing of deals and manage contractual obligations to ensure client satisfaction.

Stakeholder Engagement and Market Intelligence:

Nurture and maintain strong relationships with key clients including global customers by understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions.

Identify and forge partnerships with potential business opportunities to drive growth and revenue.

Monitor competitor activities, oversee market research, and provide strategic insights to influence decision-making and capture market opportunities.

Operational Efficiency and Cost Control:

Supervise and implement efficient sales processes to reduce waste, improve customer service, and maximize profitability.

Coordinate with internal teams (finance, production, and logistics) to ensure seamless product delivery and optimal inventory levels.

Oversee export logistics, including shipping, customs clearance, and documentation to ensure timely delivery of goods.

Ensure all export activities comply with international trade laws, customs regulations, and environmental standards.

Digitisation and Automation:

Utilize CRM systems to track client engagement, sales activities, and performance metrics.

Monitor the effectiveness of digital sales tools and support the integration of automation to improve reporting and forecasting accuracy.

Promote the use of digital platforms for client engagement, export documentation, and market intelligence gathering.

Team Leadership and Development:

Lead and mentor sales support teams, providing guidance on customer engagement and sales strategies.

Coordinate team efforts in managing key accounts, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.

Support continuous learning initiatives, encouraging team members to stay updated on market trends, product knowledge, and sales tools.

Educational Qualification:

Engineering Graduate in a relevant field.

MBA in Sales or Management is preferable.

Work Experience (Range of years):

8-12 years of experience in the Metal industry.
