- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of corrosion management programs across thermal power plants to ensure optimal asset protection and operational reliability.
- Conduct detailed corrosion assessments, risk analyses, and inspections using advanced techniques and industry best practices to identify potential corrosion threats to plant equipment including boilers, turbines, piping systems, and cooling infrastructure.
- Collaborate closely with the engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to design and execute corrosion mitigation strategies such as coatings, cathodic protection, material upgrades, and chemical treatments tailored to site-specific conditions.
- Drive root cause analysis investigations related to corrosion failures or anomalies, recommending effective corrective and preventive actions to minimize downtime and enhance plant availability.
- Monitor and analyze corrosion monitoring data, metallurgical test reports, and environmental parameters to predict corrosion trends and proactively address emerging risks.
- Lead cross-functional teams during turnaround and shutdown maintenance activities ensuring adherence to corrosion control plans, safety protocols, and quality standards.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation including corrosion control manuals, inspection reports, and compliance records aligned with regulatory and company standards.
- Champion the implementation of new corrosion monitoring technologies and digital tools that improve data accuracy and predictive maintenance capabilities.
- Provide technical training and mentoring to junior engineers and technicians on corrosion principles, testing methods, and best practices to build organizational capability.
- Liaise with vendors, laboratories, and external consultants to evaluate new materials, coatings, and corrosion inhibitors for applicability in thermal generation environments.
- Support sustainability initiatives by promoting eco-friendly corrosion prevention solutions and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
- Participate in risk assessments, audits, and continuous improvement projects to uphold Adani’s commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
- Act as a key contributor in strategic planning sessions to align corrosion management activities with business goals and long-term asset management strategies.
