Job Purpose: The role is responsible for supporting the lead in overseeing daily logistics operations and coordinating with internal teams to ensure efficient shifting of reject coal. It involves maintaining cleanliness and safety standards of railway tracks and facilitating safe placement and withdrawal of rakes. Additionally, the role assists in managing vendor and financial tasks, ensuring timely bill processing at central level and adherence to safety compliance. Also, liaision with external stakeholders and participating in monitoring and reporting activities for effective rake dispatch operations
Site or Central Logistics Executive - Coal Mining
Rake Dispatch Operations:
Support in monitoring daily operations of washed coal and reject shifting rake dispatch under the guidance of the lead.
Assist in coordinating with CA and internal teams to ensure efficient shifting of reject coal
Support monitoring of rake loading progress in hourly basis to meet targeted loading times and assist lead in resolving daily issues related to rake loading and dispatch
Handle prompt weighing of rakes using the IMWB system and loading of cargo rakes within the free period.
Co-ordinate with lead and prepare monthly production plans aligned with the annual dispatch target
Assist in transporting washed coal according to MDO guidelines and RVNL plans, ensuring quality requirements and delivery to designated location.
Prepare report on railway transportation activities as directed by the lead.
Update and Submit rack details and location/volume information in railway for daily provision of empty racks.
Assist in revising loading and transportation plans based on the supply of empty racks from railways.
Prepare and submit monthly plans to railways in advance
Safety and Compliance:
Maintain cleanliness and safety of tracks to facilitate safe and efficient placement and withdrawal of rakes
Aid in providing safety guidance to vendor employees, laborers, and the entire logistics team.
Assist in ensuring safety compliance throughout logistics operations, encompassing the transfer of cargo from washed/reject coal yard to railway siding and loading of cargo into rakes.
Vendor and Financial Management:
Assist in initiating purchase requisitions (PRs) under the lead's guidance.
Coordinate with TCD for the prompt issuance of purchase orders (PO) and service orders (SO).
Reconcile vendor invoices on timely basis.
Handle bill processing through SES/NIS to ensure timely payments
Liaison and Coordination:
Support the lead in daily coordination with the SRCPL operation team.
Generate daily documentation and MIS reports for rake dispatches.
Handle railway-related issues that include demurrage, waiver letters, refunds, EDRM permissions, and freight payments under the lead's guidance.
Monitoring and Reporting:
Conduct data analysis for the installation of GPS devices in every rake
Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly meetings concerning rake dispatch operations and ongoing projects as directed by the lead.
Digital Agility and Execution:
Adapt to digital technologies for managing day-to-day logistics tasks, ensuring efficient execution and compliance with central guidelines.
Apply digital solutions to analyze and monitor logistics data, providing insights that support site or central logistics operations and decision-making.
