Associate Level Product Review Engineer (Liaison Engineering)

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is hiring for a Associate Level Product Review Engineer (Liaison Engineering) to become part of the Modification and Sustainment Engineering team in Hazelwood, MO. The open positions will support the modification, retrofit, and/or repair of multi-platform aircraft including, but not limited to F/A-18, F-15, F-22, KC-135. The opportunity in the Tulsa, Oklahoma area is to serve on-site at key supplier of KC-135 assembly new build startup activity.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Participates in the research of technical, operational and quality issues that cannot be resolved by customer and designs interim and final engineering solutions.

  • Participates in analyses, conducts root cause analysis and develops dispositions for design non-conformances.

  • Develops and implements product/process improvements.

  • Uses innovative approaches and unique applications to address complex nonconforming conditions and to detect deviations.

  • Analyzes reported problems for potential safety issues; recommends and manages complex resolution.

  • Leads / participates in the development of interim and final solutions.

  • Provides design phase subject matter expertise by supporting Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and participating in design reviews.

  • Represents the engineering community in the build through post production environment. Ensures supplier and build partner compliance with Boeing standards.

  • Develops customer correspondence for continued safe operation and maintenance of equipment.

  • Participates in activities for on-site disabled product repair teams and accident investigation or support teams.

  • Participates in the design of interim structural repairs and conducts static strength analysis.

  • Develops and leads non-destructive test procedures, tools and standards.

  • Ensures supplier and build partner compliance with Boeing standards.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

  • 1+ years or experience with Structural Liaison, Structural Design or Structural Analysis.

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

  • Engineering MRB (Material Review Board) certification
