Your new role
As Associate Launch Excellence Commercial Planning Director, you will be at the heart of how Novo Nordisk brings new products to patients across the APAC region. You will design and drive the launch excellence framework for APAC, partner closely with elevated affiliates, and represent APAC interests in International Operations (IO) and global strategic projects – ensuring our launches are bold, well-executed and patient-focused.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and applying a launch excellence framework based on Novo Nordisk playbooks and toolkits, differentiating launch archetypes, and owning the launch excellence process for elevated and Business Area affiliates (the latter in cooperation with the Business Area launch lead)
  • Acting as the Regional Office owner and regional subject matter expert for APAC elevated affiliate launches, working closely with local launch leads as sparring partner, prioritisation support and guidance setter towards launch readiness
  • Facilitating best practice integration by building a community around upcoming launches and enabling elevated affiliate teams to leverage launch learnings
  • Leading cyclical APAC commercial processes, including Game Plan, Business Review Meeting and Medical & Marketing governance, while collaborating cross-functionally with Regional Office, Business Area and affiliate stakeholders
  • Representing APAC as the commercial voice in International Operations and globally driven strategic projects, coordinating within APAC to ensure regional interests are well represented
  • Collaborating with the respective Therapy Area-Leads within the launch excellence framework and providing regular launch status updates to senior management

Your new department

You will join the APAC Medical, Marketing and Regulatory team in APAC, a strategic hub at the centre of one of Novo Nordisk's most dynamic and fast-evolving regions. The team plays a pivotal role in setting commercial direction, enabling affiliate success and ensuring APAC is well positioned to deliver on the promise of our expanding portfolio. Your work will directly shape how we launch, learn and lead across the region as well as be directly accountable for the roll out of key Medical and Marketing planning processes. This role is an individual contributor but will be a Medical & Marketing Lead Team member with several peers. This position reports to the Associate Vice President for Medical, Marketing & Regulatory.

Your skills & qualifications
We are looking for a strategic thinker with a strong commercial mindset and a proven ability to navigate complex, cross-cultural environments. To succeed in this role, you bring:

  • A Bachelor's degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred, such as a Master's in Marketing, Business Administration or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience developing strategy and influencing at management level, with a proven ability to drive alignment across senior stakeholders
  • 5+ years of commercial experience, ideally within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry
  • Consulting experience in a related field is highly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience working across several APAC affiliates, with a strong understanding of regional dynamics and market nuances and the demonstrated ability to analyse complex issues, apply strategic thinking and translate insight into actionable tactical plans are critical
  • A proven track record of successfully managing multiple complex projects and priorities simultaneously, paired with excellent communication skills and full professional fluency in English
