Organizational Setting and Reporting Relationship
The position of Associate IT Officer (Videoconference Engineering) is assigned to the Infrastructure and Technology Division within the Information Technology Department (ITD). You will be based at our Headquarters in Manila, Philippines.
You will report to the Designated international staff and/or officer (senior/principal/lead, as applicable).
Your Role
As an Associate IT Officer (Videoconference Engineering), youwill be responsible for overseeing the engineering aspects of our conference room solutions, ensuring the seamless integration and optimal performance of various collaboration platforms including MS Teams and Zoom. With command of networking principles and Microsoft PowerShell, you will be part of a team that designs, implements, and manages the technical infrastructure, troubleshoots issues, and enhances the videoconferencing experience. Youwill also set engineering standards for provisioning meeting rooms, support escalations, and maintain documentation, all while adhering to best practices and organizational IT policies. Your role is pivotal in enabling effective communication and collaboration across the organization.
You will:
Play a technical role in the engineering of meeting room solutions, identification, analysis, and resolution of technical issues in all areas of videoconferencing and network to ensure efficient and timely resolution.
Coordinate with clients and vendors to resolve technical issues, improve processes and preventive maintenance activities, and increase organizational resilience in compliance with industry standards.
Build an environment for evaluation, testing and overseeing the deployment of hardware, software, and system updates, ensuring a smooth transition and minimal disruption to operations.
Oversee and coordinate projects and resolve top technical issues each week towards improving the overall service.
Be on the lookout for new tools and technologies which can be validated and deployed for improving the client experience.
You will need:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, Engineering, or related fields. Preferably with certification and training in Project Management, ITIL, Unified Communications and AI.
At least 5 years work experience in providing solution design, leading implementation and operational management of videoconferencing systems for an enterprise comprised of meeting rooms, MS TEAMS subscription, Zoom and integration of various solutions.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to articulate the problem and document.
Experience with Unified Communications integration, Cloud-based Video/Voice solutions, integration with Cloud solutions is preferred.
Experience working with Teams administration, Zoom administration, AI, Automation, PowerShell, Python, Active Directory a big plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English is required.

Additional Information
This appointment is open to internal and external applicants.
This is a fixed-term appointment for an initial fixed period of 3 years. At the end of the initial period, this appointment may, at the option of ADB, be extended once for up to 2 years, converted to a regular appointment, or ended on its expiration date. This decision will be made in the overall interest of ADB that: (a) it will require Staff’s particular blend of skills and experience in the foreseeable future; and (b) Staff’s performance is satisfactory and they are suitable for further employment.
