Job Description

JOB DUTIES: Manage complex M&A and restructuring transactions including but not limited to overseeing research and financial analysis of financial implications of mergers and acquisitions, preparation of all offering memoranda and transaction related documents, management and client presentations, data room preparation management, and due diligence process and valuation. Construct detailed and sophisticated financial models, company valuations and mergers and acquisition transactions comparisons based on research findings and client analysis. Gather industry, regulatory, and economic information, company financial statements, financial periodicals and publications in order to extract relevant data for financial forecasting. Provide in-depth quantitative financial analysis as it pertains to business, industry and economic forecasting. Identify emerging market trends and regulatory changes within the investment and advisory domains and develop strategies to secure investment opportunities and expand the firm’s presence within the market. Review credit documents, merger documents and other legal documents for purposes of analyzing and understanding various transactional-related issues and considerations. Engage in execution activities, including basic responsibilities such as data gathering (industry, regulatory, and economic information), in-depth analysis and material preparation (company financial statements (historical and projected), financial periodicals and publications), as well as taking responsibility for managing standard processes such as preparing deal documentation. Prepare analytical materials to support necessary credit, compliance, engagement committee and balance sheet approvals. Interpret data concerning price, yield, stability, and future trends in investment risks and economic influences relevant to investments. Conduct corporate operations reviews, portfolio analytic reviews and prepare risk/return valuations and board presentations. Gather and process market share data and shareholder and investor profiles. Interact closely with clients, particularly with client senior management teams. Provide mentorship and supervision to Analysts performing research and analysis on transactions.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics or related field, plus two (2) years of financial analysis or related analysis experience in the investment banking industry, including experience performing financial modeling; performing business valuation analysis; corporate finance; preparing client presentations; transaction structuring and legal documentation review and analysis; and sector-specific benchmarking and strategic research and insights.

*Specific skills: Also requires experience or knowledge in the following: 1) Experience in M&A; 2) Knowledge of S&P Capital IQ, Bloomberg and FactSet; 3) Experience using Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint and Word; 4) Knowledge of accounting principles and financial statements; 5) Knowledge of regulatory filing and compliance; and 6) Knowledge of transaction due diligence including process management and analytical framework(s)

*Any level of experience or knowledge in the specific skills is acceptable.

Must have SIE, and Series 7 and 79 licenses.

The salary for this position is expected to be $225,000 per year. Base pay is based on market location & may vary based on experience, skills, education & other job-related reasons.
