Primary functions & responsibilities

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Financial Reporting and Close

• Support for accurate and timely preparation of local GAAP financials (primarily IFRS/Luxembourg and United Kingdom), including notes and disclosures.
• Preparation of quarterly financial reports, including local GAAP consolidated financial statements and trial balance reporting for United Kingdom and Luxembourg operating entities as well as for various branch entities throughout Europe.
• Preparation of quarterly journal entries for conversion from US GAAP to local GAAP as well as assistance with ad-hoc journal entries.
• Performance of monthly and quarterly reconciliations.
• Assistance with preparation of financial component of board packages.

Value Added Tax (VAT), Corporate Income Tax (CIT) and other Regulatory Compliance

• Assist in preparing VAT returns: invoice downloads, reclassification journal entries, payment requests and coordination with third party compliance consultants.
• Coordination of delivery of financial statement information to International Tax teams and third party consultants and preparation of CIT payment requests.
• Assistance with e-invoicing implementation and requirements as necessary.

Audit Support

• Work closely with auditors in the United Kingdom, Luxembourg and Sweden, providing documentation and resolving auditor queries.
• Coordinating for query resolution with other teams in Corporate Accounting.
• Adherence to specific timelines and follow ups with auditors on deliverables and timing.

Other

• Preparation of intercompany files for netting review, payment requests and reconciliations.
• Assistance with preparation of transfer pricing models and booking journal entries as necessary.
• Participate in global and regional projects to enhance controls, processes and/or efficiencies.
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Treasure and other finance teams and offices globally.

qualifications

Education:

• Chartered Accountant with post-qualification experience of 3+ years in public accounting or industry experience.

Experience Required:

• Strong understanding of US GAAP and IFRS. Specific UK GAAP and other local European GAAP a plus.

• Preferred experience with Fusion/Oracle.
• Proficient in Excel and Outlook.
• Workiva and OneStream experience a plus.
• Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence tool as well as ChatGPT, CoPilot or other AI a plus.
