The Associate, Internal Communications role at Invenergy focuses on executing internal communication strategies to enhance organizational awareness and employee engagement. This position requires strong storytelling and communication skills to support leadership and promote company culture.

This position is on-site at Invenergy's office in downtown Chicago, IL.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize and develop content for internal publication across multiple channels, organizations, locations, and functions.

  • Assist executive and senior leadership teams with developing internal communications including leadership communications, presentations, talking points, and organizational announcements.

  • Align communication across all channels with organizational objectives, messaging and culture.

  • Work cross-functionally to plan companywide meetings.

  • Partner with external communications, human resources, and social media teams to promote internal stories and activities that enhance Invenergy’s employment brand through social media channels (i.e. LinkedIn, Glassdoor).

  • Analyze internal communications metrics and engagement data to evaluate effectiveness, generate insights, and continuously refine messaging strategies and channel approach

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Corporate Communications, Public Relations, Media Studies, or related field.

  • 3-5 years of experience in corporate communications, journalism, public relations or related field.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and employee communications applications

  • Excellent written communication and editing skills.

  • Advanced interpersonal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with the FirstUp employee communications platform.

  • Event planning.

  • Energy industry experience.

  • Videography or photography experience is a plus.

  • Spanish fluency is a plus

Base Pay

$90,000.00 - $105,000.00 USD Annual
Bonus: 20% - 30%

The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position. Invenergy considers a number of factors when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education and skills.

In addition to base pay, the total annual compensation package may also include eligibility to participate in our bonus program(s) which are designed to reward individual and company performance. Your recruiter can share more about bonus eligibility for this position during the hiring process.
