Key Roles & Responsibilities Core ServiceNow Development
- Design, develop, test, and deploy custom ServiceNow solutions following platform best practices.
- Hands‑on scripting using:
- Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts
- UI Policies, UI Actions
- Scheduled Jobs and background scripts
- Build and enhance scoped applications and reusable components.
- Ensure performance optimisation, upgrade safety, and long‑term maintainability of customisations.
ITSM (IT Service Management) - 1 Req.
- Strong development experience across Incident, Problem, Change, Request, CMDB
- Develop and customise:
- Implement and support change governance, CAB/CCB workflows, and audit‑friendly controls.
- HR Case & Knowledge
- Employee Center / EC Pro
- Lifecycle Events (Onboarding, Offboarding, Cross‑boarding)
- HR Catalog & COEs
- Document Management
- Now Mobile for HRSD
HRSD (Human Resources Service Delivery) - 1 Req.
Lead architecture, design, and configuration of ServiceNow HRSD modules:
- Strong JavaScript, Glide API, Flow Designer, and IntegrationHub capabilities.
- Develop automated workflows using Flow Designer, HR Templates, and IntegrationHub.
- Lead and mentor ServiceNow developers; perform code reviews and guide best practices.
- Design and manage integrations with HCM systems (Oracle) BGV tools (AuthBridge), DMS, email/SMS/WhatsApp, and mobile channels.
- Ensure platform compliance with SDLC, ITIL, governance, audit, and change management standards.
- Support UAT, manage deployments, prepare backout plans, and provide production assistance.
- Experience designing scalable, enterprise-grade HRSD solutions.
GRC / IRM (Governance, Risk & Compliance) - 1 Req.
Configure and customise Policy & Compliance, Risk, Audit Management modules.
- Implement:
- Risk assessments and issue management workflows
- Control attestations and evidence collection
- Support regulatory and audit requirements through accurate configuration, reporting, and traceability.
Security Operations & Vulnerability Response - 1 Req.
Hands‑on experience in SecOps and Vulnerability Response (VR)
- Integrate ServiceNow with vulnerability scanners (e.g. Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7).
- Customise prioritisation logic, remediation workflows, SLA tracking, and CI‑risk correlation.
- Build dashboards and reports reflecting enterprise security posture.
Software Asset Management (SAM) - 1 Req.
Experience with SAM Pro, including licence compliance and entitlement management.
- Customise workflows for licence optimisation, reclamation, and audit support.
- Ensure accurate asset and compliance data aligned to vendor and regulatory reviews.
Emerging Technologies, Automation & Integrations (Common for all requirements) Platform Automation & Low‑Code
- Strong experience with Flow Designer, Automation Engine, and declarative development.
- Ability to design automation for IT, HR, Security, Risk, and Asset processes.
AI & Intelligent Capabilities
- Exposure to ServiceNow AI / GenAI capabilities such as Now Assist, AI Search, Predictive Intelligence, or AI‑assisted summarisation and recommendations.
- Understanding of AI‑driven use cases across ITSM and HRSD.
Enterprise Integrations
- Design and develop integrations using:
- REST APIs (RESTMessageV2), SOAP services
- JSON/XML payloads, oAuth2
- Hands‑on with IntegrationHub, including custom Actions and Spokes.
- Experience integrating ServiceNow with:
- HR systems, IAM solutions, security tools
- CI/CD and DevOps tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Git)
- Collaboration tools (Microsoft Teams, email)
MID Server & Hybrid Architecture
- Strong understanding of MID Server architecture in on‑prem, cloud, and hybrid environments.
- Ability to troubleshoot ECC Queue, probe/sensor failures, and connectivity issues.
Governance, Quality & Security
- Follow ServiceNow best practices for development, security, and performance.
- Implement role‑based access controls (ACLs) and secure coding standards.
- Support platform upgrades, health scans, and remediation activities.
- Prepare technical documentation, solution designs, and audit artefacts.
- Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and release planning.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5–13 years of core ServiceNow development experience
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and Glide APIs
- Hands‑on expertise in:
- ITSM
- HRSD
- GRC / IRM
- SecOps (Vulnerability Response)
- SAM (SAM Pro preferred)
- Solid understanding of CMDB and CI relationships
- Experience in enterprise‑scale, regulated environments
Good to Have
- Experience in banking / BFSI or regulated enterprises
- ServiceNow certifications:
- CSA
- CAD
- CIS – ITSM / HRSD / GRC / SecOps / SAM
- Exposure to ServiceNow CI/CD practices and upgrade strategy
