About the department

You will be joining our Finance Global Business Services (GBS) team in Bangalore. Established in 2007, Finance GBS is responsible for supporting various finance functions for Novo Nordisk globally. Commercial Analytics, which is part of Finance GBS, was founded in 2013 with the goal of providing best-in-class analytical services and insights to the global organization. Our team is dedicated to delivering superior service to our stakeholders and adding value through standardization and efficiency.

The position

As a Associate II at Novo Nordisk, you will also be entrusted with below responsibilities:

  • Execute daily banking operations including payment runs, day-end activities, reconciliations, and accounting tasks for global affiliates in Asia, Europe, and North America.
  • Month-End, Quarter-End & Year-End Closing to perform clearing, accruals, reconciliations, and ensure timely completion of all period-end financial activities.
  • Stakeholder & Customer Support: Provide high-quality support to Corporate Treasury teams in Denmark and approximately 95 global affiliates, ensuring superior service delivery in line with SLAs.
  • Execute and document daily and monthly Sarbanes–Oxley (SOX) controls and maintain financial documentation in accordance with corporate finance archiving standards.
  • Participate in projects related to process optimization and system implementation and manage group exchange rate updates with required SOX controls.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (B. Com or BBA) or master’s degree (M. Com or MBA) in a relevant field from a recognized institute.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in treasury or accounting functions within a large corporate organization.
  • Experience with SAP Business Warehouse, SAP ECC/S4HANA, and preferably the SAP In-House Cash module, especially in payment operations.
  • Strong skills in Excel (pivot tables, macros) and experience working with SAP and MS PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical abilities with fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Ability to quickly understand accounting flows across different systems and convert data into meaningful insights.
  • Demonstrates ownership and accountability for assigned deliverables; excels in stakeholder management, collaborates effectively across cultures to meet deadlines, and possesses excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
