Responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient operations within the hospital's admitting, outpatient registration, and imaging front desk areas in Newburgh and Cornwall. Position involves managing patient admissions, registration and appointments, verifying insurance information, obtaining necessary authorizations, and ensuring accurate documentation while adhering to hospital policies and regulatory requirements. Manages the flow of patients in the imaging department, ensuring proper documentation, scheduling, and preparation for imaging procedures. Consistently communicates patients' financial responsibilities and collects payments at the point of service, following established policies for insurance verification, financial authorization, and estimation of patient costs.


Qualifications

  • High School High School Graduate or equivalent. Ability to read, write, and communicate in English. Required
  • 1-3 years Experience in patient registration/imaging front desk, patient accounting, or in a medical office preferred. Prior experience must demonstrate the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, prioritize and multi-task with a high-level accuracy while being sensitive to customer needs and expectations. Experience with Epic, Medical Necessity tools, scheduling and eligibility verification software, preferred. Must be proficient using Internet browser, Microsoft Word and Excel, and have competent typing skills.
