About the Associate - Healthcare/Economist Position: 

As an Associate - Healthcare/Economist, you will conduct empirical research in treatment safety and effectiveness, health economics and outcomes research. Provide innovative, data-driven strategies for clients in the life sciences industry across all phases of product development and commercialization. Develop, design, and conduct research studies to address clients’ needs. Perform quantitative and qualitative health care research. Collaborate with academic and in-house experts. Perform analyses and present results. Prepare project deliverables and publications in peer-reviewed literature. Design creative solutions using leading-edge analytics and emerging data sources to address clients’ most pressing business challenges. Coordinate multiple work-streams or analyses within a case team, including both the work product and the team members involved in it. Develop scientific evidence and disseminate research findings associated with clients' health technologies through conference presentations and peer-reviewed publications in the medical and health economic and outcomes literature. Synthesize and communicate published evidence in various formats, including slide presentations and formulary dossiers. Play a leading role in all phases of content development, project management, and client engagement.

Analysis Group fosters a work environment that is centered on delivering high-quality work through teamwork and collaboration, best-in-class learning programs, and a culture of transparency, trust, and respect. We are looking for candidates who demonstrate both technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills, and who are passionate about applying data and analytics to real-world challenges in the life sciences industry. Specifically, we seek candidates who have:  A master's degree in health economics, public health, biostatistics, statistics, epidemiology or related quantitative science (or foreign education equivalent) plus two (2) years of experience in a related occupation using advanced research and analysis methodologies. Alternatively, a PhD in health economics, public health, biostatistics, statistics, epidemiology, or related quantitative science (or foreign education equivalent) plus one (1) year of teaching or research experience.

Must also possess demonstrated experience in each of the following skills: 

  • Applying quantitative methods to real-world problems in health care research. 
  • Utilizing statistical software such as SAS, STATA, SPSS or R. 
  • Developing written and oral summaries of analytical work, including preparing research papers, technical memoranda or presentations that detail methods, assumptions, and conclusions to both technical and non-technical audiences. 
  • Communicating complex analytical concepts clearly and effectively, both in writing and verbally, by tailoring technical findings to different audiences and producing well-organized, data-driven narratives and visual materials. 
  • Collaborating within academic or professional research teams to plan, conduct, and review analytical work, integrating contributions from multiple disciplines to ensure accuracy and consistency of results.
