ORIX Corporation USA is seekingto hirean Investment Associateto support its GP Solutions investment strategyIn this role you will be an integral member ofthe GP Solutionsinvestment team deploying capital on behalf of ORIX’s corporate balance sheet and third-party investors in Fund Finance transactions, with a particular emphasis on NAVfinance This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate with ties to Dallas to initiatean investmentcareer within Fund Finance withsignificant upside and potential.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Diligence:Conduct detailedanalysis of new investment opportunities through review oftransaction portfolios and sponsor capabilities; and quantitative analysesto assess financial performance of underlying assets in support ofinvestment underwriting
Underwriting:Preparation of materials for Investment Committee consideration including investment memoranda, supporting documentation and analyses, and financial modeling
Monitoring:Management of the GP Solutions investment portfolio including review and synthesis of quarterly and annual reporting investment sponsors, internally constructed valuation analyses, preparation of quarterly and annual investment activity and performance reporting for investors, and annual third-party audit support
Other:Pipeline management; a ssist as needed with other assignments and in outside business development efforts;establish strong working relationships with other team members, operate effectively withlimitedoversightwhile meeting tight timelines
Education, Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited top tier university with a degree in finance, economics, or related field with a 3.5 minimum GPA;
Extremely intellectually curious and highly self-motivated;
2+years ofexperience in private equity, private credit, investment banking, consulting, or related fields with relevant internships;
Prior direct investing/investment banking or lending/credit experience preferred but not required;
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint;
Excellent organizational, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills;
Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously;
Ability to work independently;
Personal interest in investing and Private Equity; and
Ties to and/or desire to reside in Dallas for the long term
