Weston is seeking an Associate Geoscientist 2 to support environmental investigation, remediation, and emergency response projects. The successful candidate will have a strong desire to make a difference in our communities by doing work that helps protect public health and the environment. This role builds upon foundational experience and is ideal for individuals ready to take on increased responsibility in field execution, data analysis, and project coordination.
The position includes field and office work supporting projects involving investigation and remediation of hazardous waste sites. Responsibilities include supporting and executing sampling of environmental media (soil, water, waste, air, etc.), performing chemical and physical screening of samples in the field, coordinating shipment of samples to laboratories, assisting with evaluation of analytical results, and preparing reports of investigation and removal actions. The role also includes participation as an on-call emergency responder supporting 24/7 response activities to chemical and oil spills. This position requires the ability to travel and function effectively in dynamic field environments.
This role is an integral member of the project team, interfacing internal and external clients, preparing project deliverables, and clearly communicating with team members and project leadership.
This role supports a critical project with planned work starting in the near term. We are proactively conducting interviews to ensure readiness for onboarding as project activities ramp up. Start timing will align with project kickoff and mobilization schedules.
