Job Description

The Project Vendor Coordinator will be pivotal in bridging the gap between project execution teams and external vendors to ensure the successful delivery of materials, equipment, and services necessary for thermal power projects. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to secure the best pricing, quality, and delivery schedules while adhering to Adani’s ethical standards.
  • Coordinating with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to understand project requirements and translate them into actionable vendor engagement plans.
  • Overseeing the entire vendor lifecycle management including selection, evaluation, onboarding, and performance monitoring to ensure compliance with company policies and contractual obligations.
  • Managing vendor contracts, amendments, and service level agreements (SLAs), ensuring that all documentation is accurate, updated, and aligned with project milestones.
  • Monitoring vendor performance through key performance indicators (KPIs) and conducting regular reviews to address and resolve issues proactively.
  • Facilitating effective communication between vendors and project teams to mitigate risks, resolve conflicts, and expedite issue resolution to prevent project delays.
  • Ensuring timely procurement of materials and equipment, managing lead times and logistics to support uninterrupted project progress.
  • Collaborating with quality assurance teams to confirm that vendor deliverables meet specified standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing vendor performance data and implementing best practices to enhance supply chain efficiency.
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and corporate governance policies within vendor operations.
  • Preparing detailed reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders outlining vendor status, risks, and mitigation plans.
  • Aligning vendor coordination processes with Adani’s sustainability goals and corporate social responsibility commitments.
  • Mentoring and guiding junior team members and fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and professional development.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil) or a related discipline from a recognized university. A Master’s degree or MBA in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Project Management will be an added advantage.
