Associate - GBPO, Credit Management

POSITION PURPOSE

The Associate GBPO will be responsible for supporting global credit and customer master data operations by managing customer hierarchies, maintaining credit management data, updating classification and responsibility structures, and ensuring compliance with governance standards. The role involves close collaboration with Global Credit Management Operations (GCMO), local credit managers, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure accuracy, data management, hierarchy maintenance, and reporting activities.

YOUR KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Review, maintain, and validate customer hierarchies within GMB and related systems.
    • Perform hierarchy linking, unlinking, deletion, short hierarchy checks, and full hierarchy checks.
    • Create and assign Credit Analysts and Credit Analyst Groups to customer accounts.
    • Support the creation and maintenance of Credit Analyst Group accounts.
    • Build, maintain, and link customer hierarchies in respective entities.
    • Maintain customer classifications.
    • Extend and maintain credit segments and credit management data.
    • Update and manage collection of hierarchy information.
    • Coordinate and share hierarchy-related information with GCMO and local credit managers.
    • Process and execute requests received from GCMO in line with defined governance and compliance standards.
    • Maintain and update credit rules, including credit limit invalidation dates and related controls.
    • Perform responsibility reassignment and ownership updates as required.
    • Prepare and publish monthly dashboards and operational reports.
    • Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and compliance with organizational policies and SLAs.
    • Support continuous improvement initiatives and standardization of master data and credit management processes.

Required Skills & Competencies

    • Strong understanding of customer master data and credit management processes.
    • Knowledge of hierarchy management and credit operations workflows.
    • Attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple requests and priorities within defined timelines.
    • Good stakeholder management and communication skills.
    • Proficiency in reporting and dashboard preparation using Excel or reporting tools.
    • Experience working in ERP or credit management systems is preferred.
    • Understanding of governance, compliance, and audit requirements within GBS/shared services environments.

WHO YOU ARE

    • Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
    • Experience in Global Business Services (GBS), Credit Operations, or Customer Master Data Management preferred.
    • Exposure to SAP, SGMB, or related credit management platforms would be an advantage.
