Job Description
We are seeking a motivated Associate Full-Stack Software Engineer to join our software development team. The candidate will participate in the design, development, testing, deployment, and support of web and digital applications using modern full-stack technologies and AI-assisted engineering practices
Position Responsibilities:
Software Development
- Develop, test, deploy, and maintain web applications using modern front-end and back-end technologies.
- Translate business and functional requirements into practical technical solutions.
- Build reusable, scalable, secure, and maintainable software components.
- Participate in system integration, API development, and database-related activities.
- Conduct unit testing and support system integration testing and user acceptance testing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application defects, production incidents, and post-go-live issues.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, system design details, and operational support materials.
Front-End Development
- Develop responsive and user-friendly interfaces using Angular or similar modern frameworks, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers and business stakeholders to deliver intuitive digital experiences.
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility, accessibility, performance, and consistent user experience.
Back-End Development
- Develop and maintain backend services, RESTful APIs, integrations, and business logic using Java, Spring Boot, or equivalent technologies.
- Integrate applications with databases, internal platforms, and external services.
- Support microservices-based architectures and application component upgrades where applicable.
AI-Assisted Software Development
- Use approved AI-powered development tools, such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, or equivalent enterprise platforms, to improve productivity and accelerate delivery.
- Apply AI assistance to code generation, refactoring, technical documentation, code explanation, troubleshooting, and solution exploration.
- Review, test, and validate all AI-generated outputs using sound engineering judgment before implementation.
- Ensure AI-assisted development complies with secure coding standards, data protection requirements, intellectual property controls, and Responsible AI principles.
- Identify appropriate opportunities to improve software engineering practices through AI and automation.
AI-Driven Quality Engineering and Testing
- Use AI-assisted and automated testing tools to support test case generation, test data preparation, defect analysis, and regression testing.
- Collaborate with quality engineers and business users to improve test coverage and establish reusable, structured test assets.
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using suitable testing frameworks and tools.
- Analyze automated test results, investigate failures, and recommend quality improvements.
- Support shift-left testing by incorporating quality checks early in the software development lifecycle.
Agile Delivery and Engineering Governance
- Participate actively in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver agreed sprint commitments and communicate progress, risks, and blockers.
- Use Git-based version control, peer code review, and pull request practices.
- Follow established software development lifecycle, release management, change management, security, and compliance controls.
Continuous Improvement
- Learn and adopt new technologies, frameworks, engineering practices, and AI capabilities.
- Contribute ideas for process improvement, automation, technical debt reduction, and developer productivity.
- Support DevOps, DevSecOps, and CI/CD implementation and enhancements.
- Share knowledge, reusable components, lessons learned, and good practices across the engineering team.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Fresh graduates with strong internship, academic, open-source, or personal project experience are encouraged to apply.
- Ability to communicate clearly with users, technical teams, and business stakeholders in verbal and written form.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to the insurance, banking, or financial services industry through work experience, internships, or academic projects.
- Familiarity with developing or supporting web, mobile, or enterprise applications in a regulated environment.
- Understanding of software security, data privacy, and compliance requirements within financial services organizations.
