We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Military service members and veterans with ranks from E3-E5, W1-W2, or O1-O3, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below will be considered for this opportunity.

At this time, Dominion Energy cannot transfer or sponsor a work visa or employment authorization for this position.

This position does not offer relocation assistance.

There is one position available which will be filled at the level commensurate with the successful candidates' education, experience, knowledge skills, and abilities.


Specific duties include but are not limited to:

  • Prepare, analyze, and present financial data to track the execution of station spend including variance analysis for O&M and Capital expenses
  • Partner with operations to perform detailed review of actuals/results, develop monthly forecasts and create long-term budget plans
  • Support long-term budgets by preparing, maintaining, and updating Excel based financial models, as well as, Anaplan, the Company’s financial planning/budgeting system
  • Perform ad hoc financial analyses/sensitivities as needed to support corporate, finance and/or operational requests
  • SAP experience is preferred but not required
  • Candidate should also be comfortable learning new financial systems/tools such as Anaplan, PowerBI, or other analysis tools

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Associate Financial Analyst: 0-2 years of experience
Financial Analyst: 3+ years of experience

Note A Master's degree will count as one year of experience. A partial year of six months or more experience will be rounded up to one year.

Specific knowledge, skills, abilities and experience:

  • Financial management and analysis; utility and/or relevant industry; accounting standards and practices
  • Skills: excellent organizational; interpersonal; verbal and written communication, teamwork, and analytical
  • Demonstrated ability to be customer focused in large organization
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and Power Point
  • Aptitude for continuous learning

Education Requirements

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:

Bachelor or will obtain degree by May 2026

Preferred Disciplines: Accounting, Business, Finance

Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above
