We are currently looking for an Associate Financial Analyst to join our team onsite in Holland, MI.
As an Associate Financial Analyst, this entry-level role that will support financial planning, reporting, accounting, and business analysis processes necessary to support Company objectives. Ensures all financial reports and analysis comply with appropriate accounting principles and company policies, accurately reflect condition of business, and provide reliable information necessary to control operations. Supports monthly financial reporting, quarterly forecasting, and annual budgeting processes. In particular, this position works with both Finance and other functional groups to assist with SG&A financial planning (budgeting, forecasting) and reporting, and as part of the rotational Finance Career Development Program would gain exposure to other teams, as well.

Essential Functions

  • Assist with audits, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and legal requirements.
  • Continuously develop accounting and finance knowledge and skills through training and professional development opportunities.
  • Through assigned work, self-initiative and performance, establish professional rapport with peers, leadership and internal customers.
  • Collect data and create reports in order to provide initial analysis and draw conclusions.
  • Provide support on special projects as needed, such as process improvements or system implementations.
  • Must be able to perform all essential job functions with/without accommodation.
  • Uses office automation, communication, software, and tools used in Haworth office environment.
  • Performs other duties within scope as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Education Equivalency (if no completed bachelor's level degree):
    • Associate's degree in Finance or Accounting plus 2 years related experience in Finance or Accounting roles, in a professional setting, such as corporate, banking or manufacturing, or
    • High school diploma plus 4 years related experience in Finance or Accounting roles, in a professional setting, such as corporate, banking or manufacturing.
    • Military Equivalency at www.mynextmove.org/vets/find/military

Experience:

  • No professional experience required with a Bachelor's degree.

Additionally:

  • Ability to work in Holland, MI, without relocation assistance.
  • Applicants must possess an unrestricted right to work in the US to be eligible for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting is highly preferred.
  • Experience working in a Finance or Accounting role, in a professional setting, such as corporate, banking or manufacturing.
  • Experience participating in a Finance or Accounting Internship.
  • Budgeting and forecasting experience.
  • Experience creating financial reports and communicating financial results
