Job Description
Job Purpose:
As an Finance Business Partner, this individual will act as primary contact of FP&A for assigned Business Unit (BU) to co-drive business together with BU from financial aspects, drive better decision-making and liaise with various stakeholders. Assist the FP&A manager acting as a practical lead of FP&A operations such as financial reporting, annual business planning and forecasting.
Responsibilities:
- Business Partnering
- Serving as trusted finance business partner of assigned BU, establish mid-term as well as annual business plan including financial KGIs and operation KPIs and drive its execution.
- Closely work with assigned BU to drive better decision-making at key decision making points.
- Launch and lead key initiatives for improving BU's performance from P&L as well as Working Capital/Cash Flow standpoint involving various stakeholders on a regular basis. - Financial Analysis and Reporting
- Lead an operation of routine financial analysis and reporting and assure their quality.
- Oversee and measure assigned BU’s financial performance.
- Conduct necessary analysis on an ad-hoc basis to deliver key insights.
- Conduct periodic financial review with assigned BU's leadership team to align on BU's business situation and room for improvement from both P&L and Working Capital/Cash Flow standpoint.
- Take full accountability of analysis and reporting for HQ as well as Regional Finance team. - Business Planning and Forecasting
- Lead an operation of annual business planning including goal setting for each individual and monthly forecasting.
- Project financial performance (P&L and Working Capital) on a monthly basis to foresee challenges and determine necessary actions to achieve business plan. - Business Process Enhancement.
- Refine FP&A operations to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Join finance or cross-functional projects to improve business process
- Any other miscellaneous tasks which is relevant to FP&A.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- >8 to 10 Years of relevant work experience
- Experience working in High-Tech/IT service industry a plus
- MBA is preferred
- Basic knowledge of financial management such as P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow.
- Strong analytical and logical thinking skills with creative problem-solving ability
- Effective communication, highly responsive, and strong follow-through skills
- Strong sense of ownership and responsibility as a finance professional
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with ability to handle multi-tasks
- Resilience and self-motivated work independently
- Good team player
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Native Japanese and fluent business English (written and verbal)
