Based in Hong Kong, the Associate role will be part of the Fixed Income Structuring team in handling the day-to-day trade inquiries from Fixed Income Structured Sales and working alongside the Structured Credit Traders to provide support on client-driven transactions in structured products.
The role is expected to grow business turnover in CSI’s bespoke note distribution as well as develop new payoffs as global investor demand evolves.
If the candidate has over 5 years of revenue production and direct hands-on experience in both structured notes and OTC derivative solutions in fixed income, the Associate Director role may be considered.
Take product ownership for the growth of CSI’s international structured franchise business.
Work collaboratively with the Structured Sales and Structured Credit Traders.
Steer and drive the development of the structured product payoffs – notes (for Associates); notes and OTC derivatives (for AD level).
Support CSI’s Sales and prepare marketing materials especially about new products and payoffs to seek investor feedback. Ensure regulatory compliance over product suitability on structured notes and non-linear derivatives is met mitigating CSI from potential investor complaints and claims
Master’s degree holder in financial engineering, financial mathematics and/or data modelling. This is an experienced hire, where a junior Associate is expected to have at least 2 years of international experience in dealing with Structured Note products with direct expertise in Fixed Income credit structures. A senior Associates may be considered for candidates with at least 3 years of direct relevant experience and at least 2 years of individual revenue production history.
SFC licensing 1, 2 & 4.
Strong understanding on the full life cycle of a structured note from origination to termination.
Comprehensive knowledge of the fixed income structured credit markets with ability to model commonly available payoffs with End-User-Computing tools (such as Excel macro, Python).
Strong understanding of key client segments and institutions that invests in Structured Notes underlying fixed income assets.
Team player with strong verbal and written communication skills and will be able to effectively engage with Sales & Traders.
Good command of written and spoken English. Chinese is a plus.
