Position Title: Facilities Associate FLSA: Non-exempt

GENERAL SUMMARY:
Performs general entry level maintenance and repairs throughout the Facility. Ensures the upkeep of the facilities. Uses hand and power tools to assist in maintaining the building and equipment in a safe, clean, and well-maintained condition to prevent degradation of property and equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Operates scrubber sweeper to ensure cleanliness of the warehouses.
2. Performs general maintenance repairs such as painting, pressure washing, emptying trash containers, etc.
3. Assists in the monthly facility inspections.
• Transports plastic, aluminum, glass, and cardboard to compactors or containers for compression for proper disposal.
4. Adheres to all safety codes and OSHA standards.
5. Maintains safe and clean working environment.
6. Responsible for the overall upkeep of the facility, equipment, and fleet areas.
7. Stocking and maintaining supplies.
8. Assist facilities and fleet personnel as needed.

10. Proficient in the use of a variety of hand and power tools to perform minor repairs throughout the facility.
11. Must be able to operate an electric pallet jack, forklift, leaf blower, pressure washer, warehouse scrubber-sweeper, and other powered equipment.
12. Able to maintain order and cleanliness of warehouses and offices.
13. Able to understand and carry out oral and written instructions. Listens actively to others’ directions.
14. Able to meet work commitments.
15. Ability to work with little direction and follow a facility maintenance plan.

• Able to move easily throughout the warehouse, grounds, and offices.
• Occasionally must climb a ladder for hard-to-reach areas.
• Able to be at heights using an elevated lift and two-person scissor lift. Must be able to properly use fall protection when using elevated lift platform and two-person scissors lift.
◦ Able to lift and move up to 50 lbs. of material, such as mulch bags, fertilizer, etc.
Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations:
High School diploma or GED preferred.
Working Conditions:
• Warehouse environment.
• Exposure to extreme temperatures, dusty conditions, and outside weather conditions, including wet and/or humid conditions.
