R&D unit in KTI is responsible for developing digital services at KONE. It’s the development engine for our Digital Services such as KONE 24/7 Connected Services, Office Flow and Partnership Ecosystem. Our common goal at KONE is to keep the end users safe and people flow uninterrupted. KONE moves 2 billion people every day and that means our services can really make cities better places to live

Why this role?

This role is responsible for defining the product vision, managing the product backlog, and delivering engineering calculation solutions that create business value. The role collaborates with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and development teams to ensure successful product delivery, continuous improvement, and alignment with strategic objectives.

What will you be doing?

  • Define and execute the EngCalc product roadmap and priorities.
  • Own and prioritize the product backlog based on business value.
  • Gather and translate business requirements into user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
  • Work closely with development teams to deliver high-quality solutions using Agile methodologies.
  • Collaborate with platform owners, engineering teams, and global stakeholders.
  • Support product releases, user acceptance testing (UAT), and continuous improvements.
  • Drive innovation through AI, automation, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Monitor product performance and ensure compliance with engineering and business standards.

Required Skills:

  • Product ownership and roadmap management.
  • Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Business analysis and requirements management.
  • Engineering calculation platforms and CAD/PLM integration.
  • API-based architectures and cloud technologies.
  • AI and automation concepts.
  • Data-driven decision making.
  • Risk management and release planning.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Product Manager in engineering or software products.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and backlog management.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with engineering tools, cloud technologies, APIs, and AI is an advantage.

Are you the one?

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering / Mechanical
  • 10-15 years of relevant experience in integrations, development, or application support
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
