Job Description

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • New business sales/new customer development
  • Establish project scope obtaining information from customer on RFQ
  • Preparing all related information prior to executing quoting activity
  • Engineering related quotes and pricing updates
  • Vendor pricing and lead times at time of RFQ

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Read prints, technical documents, and 3D CAD files to prepare estimates
  • Gathering information related to the RFQ; Scope of project
  • Estimating/quoting new tooling and production opportunities
  • Support Program Management and Sales Team to identify key growth opportunities.
  • Follow-up on new/existing business development/opportunities and interact with customers.
  • Collect and analyze data against labor, materials, and time for profitability and accuracy.
  • Work with Sales and Management tracking competitive trends and competition offerings.
  • Setup processes: New Job Setup
  • Track incoming and outgoing quotes, updates, reports, and working within CRM

  • Strong Customer relationship management skills.
  • Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft office suite.
  • Knowledge of CAD viewing software’s and programs a plus
  • Follow engineering department; infrastructure, procedures and policies including the use and utilization of proper company forms.
  • Well organized and goal orientated
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Knowledge of operations, including scheduling, procurement, and quality systems
  • Effectively express and/or follows up on all opportunities.
  • Accomplishes strategic objectives by managing and maintaining multiple project activities
  • Understands and supports Seaway Plastics Engineering Growth Strategies and goals
  • Pursuing advanced learning within manufacturing; Ex. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • Experience in Plastics Injection Molding manufacturing environment a plus
  • Competitive spirit, but plays within the rules.
  • Travel +/- 5%
