We are looking for an Associate Engineer, Software Development with strong foundational expertise in Android application development. This role focuses on building, enhancing, and maintaining high-quality mobile applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative and scalable software solutions that create value for customers and the organization.

What you will do

Software Development

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance Android applications using Kotlin and Android Jetpack components.
  • Produce efficient, clean, maintainable, and scalable code aligned with architectural guidelines and coding standards.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of software solutions that meet product requirements and business needs.
  • Evaluate and integrate third-party software libraries and components where appropriate.

Quality & Testing

  • Develop and maintain automated tests at unit, integration, and system levels.
  • Ensure business-critical functionality, edge cases, and failure scenarios are appropriately covered.
  • Collaborate with software testers to ensure product quality and reliability throughout the development lifecycle.

Technical Design & Continuous Improvement

  • Design solutions aligned with overall architecture and strategic direction.
  • Support implementation of core application components and technical enablers.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and improve existing software components to ensure maintainability and performance.
  • Identify technical debt and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Collaboration & Planning

  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, Software Engineers, and Test Engineers to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Create technical documentation and contribute to knowledge-sharing activities.
  • Participate in planning, estimation, and iteration activities, identifying technical risks and supporting delivery commitments.

What you bring

Experience

  • 1–2 years of experience in software development.
  • University degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience developing Android applications using Kotlin and Android development frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies and collaborative engineering practices.

Technical Skills

  • Basic knowledge of Kotlin and Java programming languages.
  • Strong understanding of Android SDK, APIs, Android Jetpack, and mobile application architecture.
  • Knowledge of software engineering principles, object-oriented programming, clean architecture, and coding best practices.
  • Experience with automated testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and application performance optimization.
  • Understanding of source control systems and modern software development practices.
