Job Title : Associate Engineer – Electrical

Department : Global MCAD

Reports to : Team Lead/Sr. Manager – Engineering

Job Description:

To develop, maintain, and extend electrical design libraries in support of Vertiv’s global product design businesses. He / She will take responsibility for the electrical parts library for the Creo Schematic tool, which will be used to support electrical system design and wiring harness creation for a broad portfolio of Power and Thermal products. He/ She will be responsible for providing timely support for global design teams as needed to meet their project deadlines. He / She will be expected to work in coordination with Senior team members to deliver the Assigned projects or task as needed. He / She must also be able to work independently to develop and maintain library content. Being part of Global Engineering Function, he / she is expected to maintain desired quality & schedule adherence defined by organization and report as per defined communication plan.

Job Specifications:

• Diploma/bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in electrical system design is required.
• Demonstrated proficiency with the Creo wiring harness & Cabling tool is must.
• Must have knowledge of electrical system design and wiring harness creation using Creo Cabling.
• Must be familiar with the implementation of the artifact types used in the symbols, such as draft groups, groups, blocks, and ports in Creo Schematics.
• Experience in developing and maintaining component libraries for Creo Schematic is preferred.
• Ability to create and apply datasets, member maps and datasets within member maps.
• Good Knowledge of electrical design concepts, including wire sizing and selection considerations, is required.
• Experience with exporting files from Creo Schematic to Creo Parametric is required.
• Experience using Creo Mechanical CAD tools is highly preferable.
• Experience in Value Engineering and Value Analysis projects is added advantage.
• Self-motivated, capable of working with minimal supervision and timely manner.
• Execute the Projects with Minimal support from Senior team members.
• Good Interpersonal skills and ability to work in team environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English.
• A willingness to learn is critical.
