General Description of Position

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Accepts donations by providing assistance to contributors and issuing donation receipts. This duty is performed daily, about 35% of the time.

Maintains a professional and courteous attitude at all times, willing to be flexible and assume new job responsibilities as needed. This duty is performed daily, about 5% of the time.

Treats every customer and contributor as if they were a GUEST in their home. GUEST stands for Greet, Understand, Explain, Suggest and Thank. This duty is performed daily, about 5% of the time.

Sort donations by established categories and safely pack for transport. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.

Uses hand truck to move materials around donation center and/or moves materials within the store as needed. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.

Accepts donations of good quality and politely refuses unacceptable items. This duty is performed daily, about 5% of the time.

Assist drivers with the loading and unloading of transportation vehicles. This duty is performed as needed, about 5% of the time.

Maintains a clean and safe environment. This duty is performed daily, about 5% of the time.

Maintain daily and weekly electronics records as required. This duty is performed daily, about 5% of the time.

Assist retail locations by hanging textiles during downtime after donations have been processed. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.

Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned

Education and Experience

Minimum requirement; general educational background without high school completion, plus 0 to 6

months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
