Job Description

Create your best future and join Westpac as an Associate Director/Director, Structured Finance

What’s the role?

Join our Structured Finance team in Sydney in a permanent, full-time role where you'll help shape and grow a diverse portfolio of sophisticated financing solutions for Corporate & Institutional Banking customers. You'll build strong relationships with key clients, investors, banks and other market participants while leading the origination, structuring and execution of complex transactions across securitisation, asset-based finance and receivables finance.

This is a highly relationship-focused role where you'll work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to identify opportunities, solve problems and deliver funding solutions that support customer growth. You'll oversee the end-to-end management of a portfolio, balancing commercial outcomes with sound risk management and governance. Along the way, you'll mentor team members, contribute to business improvement initiatives and help strengthen the Structured Finance capability across the organisation.

If you enjoy working on complex transactions, building trusted relationships and influencing outcomes in a collaborative environment, this is an opportunity to make a real impact.

We're hiring for two opportunities within our Structured Finance team. Depending on your experience and the outcomes of the recruitment process, you may be considered for either an Associate Director or Director position. We'll determine the most appropriate level as part of the selection process.

What do I need?

You'll bring a combination of structured finance expertise, strong relationship skills and commercial judgement, along with the ability to navigate complex transactions from origination through to execution.

  • Experience originating, structuring and executing structured finance or corporate finance transactions.
  • Strong understanding of financing structures such as securitisation, asset-based finance and receivables finance.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with clients, investors, banks and internal stakeholders at senior levels.
  • Sound commercial judgement with the ability to assess risk, influence decision-making and deliver balanced customer outcomes.
  • Strong communication, leadership and coaching skills, with a collaborative approach to developing people and driving results.

Why join us?

We’re obsessed with becoming our customers' #1 banking partner for life and we’re looking for people who are passionate about helping us achieve that goal. In return, we’re committed to making Westpac the best place to work in the country. Here are just a few of the ways we’re already doing that:

  • Special offers on banking products and discounts from top brands, including generous employee-only mortgage rates!
  • Flexible work arrangements to help you achieve a greater work/life balance, and a variety of leave options including Culture, Lifestyle and Wellbeing leave.
  • Tailored learning and development opportunities to help your grow your career within the bank.
  • Lots of opportunities to ‘give back’ to the Community by getting involved in our many volunteering initiatives.
