The Associate Director for Taiwan Wealth Distribution will serve as an integral member of the Taiwan Wealth/Retail Distribution team and will directly report to the Team Head. This position demands a proactive and collaborative professional who is capable of driving engagement at both the branch and headquarter levels across key distributor partners.

To excel in this role, the ideal candidate will possess robust relationship management skills, complemented by the ability to deliver strategic pitches. Their efforts will be instrumental in achieving the objectives of the team, relying on disciplined execution and effective collaboration with stakeholders. By combining these competencies, the candidate will contribute meaningfully to the team's overall success in client engagement and business development.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop a strong understanding of the competitive landscape to enhance Barings’ market positioning, client perception, and business resilience.
  • Build and maintain robust client relationships across key distributors, spanning headquarter gatekeepers to branch-level stakeholders.
  • Drive both headquarter-level strategic engagement and pitching, in addition to deepening branch penetration, to support sustainable business growth.
  • Proactively develop and execute business plans to achieve both qualitative and quantitative team objectives.
  • Promote and deliver compelling investment solutions, building strong awareness and differentiation among clients.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (e.g., Product Management, Client Portfolio Management, Compliance) to leverage the firm’s full capabilities and resources.
  • Deliver high-quality presentations in various settings, including sales trainings, client seminars, and client meetings, to represent Barings effectively.
  • Ensure full compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies, including maintaining accurate and timely client records in Salesforce systems.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in wealth/retail sales and business development within the asset management industry in Taiwan.
  • Bachelor’s degree or above and possession of relevant local securities licenses.
  • Excellent public speaking, presentation, and communication skills (both written and oral).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and committed to achieving high performance.
  • Proactive in developing constructive internal and external relationships.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
