Key Responsibilities -

  • Manage daily tactical activities to support manufacturing continuity
  • Lead transformation with effective change management
  • Take ownership and follow-through on cost, quality, and delivery commitments.
  • Utilize problem-solving skills and insistently attack problems facing the business
  • Provide managers and buyers with guidance, direction, and solutions
  • Manage material productivity, payment term improvement, on-time delivery, low-cost country sourcing, dual-sourcing, contracting, and supplier rationalization
  • Provide input and business idiosyncrasies to global commodity/category leaders
  • Work with the commodity team for supplier selection and implement sourcing decisions.
  • Act as a strong team player to drive global initiatives
  • Negotiate and award purchase orders/contracts in support of new product launches and existing production requirements
  • Lead continuous improvement and standardization events across sites
  • Generate value, productivity, and achieve financial commitments through the execution of unmatched negotiations and VALVE initiatives
  • People leader – direct responsibility for sourcing managers and buyers. Provide coaching, leadership, and guidance
  • 25-50% Travel

Required Qualifications –

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 7+ years of experience managing and directing teams in a supply chain environment to include Sourcing and Procurement.
  • 2+ years of experience with SIOP to drive operational efficiencies.

Preferred Qualifications –

  • Master’s degree
  • Understand the corporate and global business environment
  • Professional presence and ability to communicate across all levels within the organization
  • Ability to work on complex problems in a nebulous environment
  • Ability to actively engage with operations daily and provide immediate solutions on shortages and quality concerns
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment in developing methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
  • Relentless drive to overachieve, outstanding team player, strategic mind but detailed oriented to execute, ability to triangulate opinions to formulate actions
  • Understanding of MRP tools (SAP, Oracle)
